If you do not already have your domain name then Ovaleye can help you with that. It's easy. Just go here:

Transferring your domain from another web host

If you already have a domain and you would like to transfer it to Ovaleye we will make that easy for you as well. Here are some of the important points for you to know.

• You will need your login information to your current hosting provider, need help with this? Email transfer@ovaleye.com
• Go into your current domain control panel, find the Authorization Code, it will be emailed to you.
• Make sure that your domain(s) are "Unlocked" to make the transfer happen.
• Send your authorization code with the domain(s) you would like to transfer to: transfer@ovaleye.com
• Ovaleye will start the process and keep you updated during the process.
• Do you have a website with the domain? If so you will need to add the url in the email to Ovaleye.
• There is no charge for domain transfers.

How do you transfer a website over to Ovaleye?

Websites are connected to domain names. Ovaleye would like to look at your website before starting your transfer. This way we can see how long the transfer would take and what it involves. This will just need your current ftp login information. Please add the ftp login to the transfer@ovaleye.com email.

What is DNS?

Domain Name System (DNS), similar to a zip code, is your server location. It changes when we transfer your domain name. This process usually takes up to 24 hours. Your email and website may be unaccessible during this time. Once the DNS has propagated you are good to go and now located on Ovaleye's servers. Ovaleye takes good care of you while your transfer goes through to our servers. Our servers are located in Fisher Plaza, the premier Northwest telecom hub. To ensure physical and environmental security, our data center is SAS 70 Type II audited and operated according to the highest standards.

What are nameservers and what do I do with them?

Nameservers tell you where your domain and website are located. The nameserver can be added automatically when you purchase a domain name. If you have chosen to keep your domain name at another domain company, you are able to point the domain name to our servers by adding our nameservers, which Ovaleye will supply when you email transfer@ovaleye.com

What is an Authorization code? Where do I find it?

Transfers can't happen without an authorization code. Here are the steps in authorizing Ovaleye to transfer your domain name.

• In your current domain control panel find where you get a Authorization code. It's listed in many control panels.
• The authorization code will be emailed to you. So make sure your current registrar has updated records. If you do not have the control panel info you can always call your current registrar to transfer.
• The code will be emailed to you. Please add the code to your information when emailing transfer@ovaleye.com
• Ovaleye enters the authorization code when the transfer starts. It's the key to the transfer!

What do I need to know when I transfer my email?

Before your website and email transfer you should make sure that all your emails have been retrieved from your current server. When the transfer goes through then your new email should be waiting for you. Ovaleye keeps track of the process with you. Your email is important!
