Shorter entries than blogs, Tweets can only be 140 characters long. Twitter is better than status updates on Facebook because you can embed your tweets on your website, your blog, and other social medias you use!
** Choose an appropriate username, which is also used in your Twitter URL (ex. Helpfulhandyman and http://twitter.com/helpfulhandyman
** Add a picture of you- not your logo or cat! Let people know that you are trustworthy and professional.
** When writing your “About You” keep it short and specific (You only have 160 characters): write what you think someone would search for that wanted to follow you and then would actually convince them to follow you (ex. Handy Man that blogs about quick fixes and tips for fixing household problems. )
** Shorten the URLS you post to direct your readers elsewhere using
** Add Link to your website or blog. Also consider using tinyurl.com to link in your tweets to new blog posts and other exciting changes in your website.
** Use Twitter Search to find out what people need regarding your services, or find a mentor, etc. at http://search.twitter.com/
** Add Twitter-self to The Directory for Twitter Users at http://justtweetit.com/
